“When you get, give. When you learn, teach” – Maya Angelou
We are so fortunate to have our yoga studio. When we did the studio expansion back in 2013, we knew it could be a big risk, but we also knew it could be a big win. Yoga studios were becoming commercial and popping up everywhere. But we never wanted to be just another yoga studio. We wanted to be a place of strength, growth, and even rebuilding- and ultimately, the place where you could do the most good. So we use our big community space to bring awareness to the non-profits serving our local communities, and to lend a helping hand. When you think of the needs just in our local surrounding area, it can be overwhelming. But when we come together to do good, its so much sweeter, and not nearly as overwhelming. I love the diverse group of people that make up the Tara Yoga community, and I am so grateful for each person’s offerings. Together we can keep doing good!
Here are a few of the organizations Tara Yoga supports, with donation style classes. These classes are offered periodically, in the studio. When you see a donation based class for a non-profit, the proceeds go directly to the organization we are featuring. For additional volunteering opportunities with these organizations, please contact them directly.

New $5 Community class with Lee Parrott begins on February 5th at 5:45pm.
Every time we train the next group of teachers at Tara Yoga, the trainees will offer their first few classes at a discounted rate of $5 drop in, as a gift to the community (at this time these teachers are also being mentored directly by Tara). Please check out our class schedule to see when the next community classes are being offered. Stay connected with us as well via social media at Tara Yoga on Facebook and @tarayogastudio on Instagram.
